Physician Assistants are formally trained to provide diagnostic, therapeutic and preventive health care services in all the medical specialties, as delegated by a physician. Working as members of a health care team, they collect medical histories, initial examination of the patients, order for laboratory tests and x-rays and assist the doctors for diagnosis and treatment.

The Physician Assistants work in different areas such as outpatient wing, wards, critical care units, operation theatres and other super specialty hospital units. The scope of this course is tremendous in our country. Apart from working as Physician Assistant in hospitals, they can get placements in medical software institutions, medical tourism, medical insurance and medical research.
