National Development Agency, Promoted By Planning Commission, Govt of India in 1952

About

The Bharat Sevak Samaj was sponsored by the Planning Commission, Government of India, in the background first Five Year Plan in 1952 to provide national platform for constructive work, after the achievement of Independence of father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi visualized the formation of an organization named as ‘Lok Sevak Sangh’ to take up the programmed of socio-economic reconstruction of the country. The idea was further pursed by two of his greatest stalwarts Prime Minister Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru and Shri Gulzarilal Nanda, the then Minister of planning with the launching of the planned economic development of correct. The National Advisory Committee of the Planning Commission of public Co-operation concretized the idea after holding consultations with prominent public leaders and lining and leading politicians of all parties, Smt. Indira Gandhi, Shri Shahnawaz Khan one of the closest associates of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Prof. N.R Malkani renowned Gandhian and few other eminent men were the founder members of Samaj under whose signatures is constitutions was registered and the Samaj was finally launched on 12th August 1952

Objective

The main objective of this organization is to provide a non-political and non-government national platform for voluntary work and to enlist people’s participation in the national re-construction programme. The Samaj is no merely an organization but a mass movement calling upon all able bodies citizens, men and women, irrespective of any religious, belief or political affiliation, to contribute his or her voluntary time, resources or money for speeding up all around development of the people.

All India Medical Laboratory Technologists Association (AIMLTA)

About

Very few laboratory technologists of India realized that this particular category was very much neglected by the authorities. So they came forward and joined hands and established Indian Medical Laboratory Technologists Association in the year 1970.the name changed to "ALL INDIA MEDICAL LABORATORY TECHNOLOGISTS ASSOCIATION" with its Headquarters at New Delhi. Later the constitution of the association was introduced to see the development of the cadre. The founder members of this association visited most of the States, Hospitals and Medical Colleges with the idea to bring all Laboratory Technologists on one platform to give strength to the Association. The membership started increasing and more and more people started joining the association. The Central Committee constituted States units in many States with its office bearers to look after the matter of their own state under the guidance of Central committee. The first All India Conference was organized at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. The second at Patna and the third was at Kolkata and to hold All India Conferences every year and in different states became a continuous process which is continuing. As the membership increased the need of formation of Council for Medical Laboratory Technologists was felt and at the same time to increase the qualifications of the in-service personal was also realized and thus immediately two Committees constituted one for Council and other for Academic Board

Objective

  • To generate co-operation and mutual assistance among the members
  • To impress upon all related organizations for proper recognition of Medical Laboratory Technologists.
  • To raise the standard of Medical Laboratory Technology course in India.
  • To arrange Scientific Sessions.
  • To publish regular Journal.
  • To improve the Scale of Pay, Service Condition, Prospect and Status of the members.
  • To start Libraries for members.
  • To start free Medical Laboratory Technology Council and Institute on all India basis and conduct course and examinations (condensed also) with the collaboration of standard institutions for the production of technically qualified personnel.
